Made for Twitch
A little exploration of Twitch chat. I rebuilt a channel page and tried a way to join the hype together when chat floods with the same emote.
What I experienced
A big moment, a wall of emotes
When something big happens on stream, chat erupts with the same emote, and it feels electric. Joining in meant finding the emote and sending it again and again while chat scrolled too fast to read, and I saw a chance to turn that flood into something we share.
What I explored
One tap to join the moment
I prototyped a combo meter that rises above the chat box when an emote takes over. Tap to add yours, watch the meter level up with everyone, and see the combo evolve as chat switches emotes. My recommendation: turn the flood into a shared goal, so joining a moment takes one tap and everyone feels part of it.
